Helping People Quit Commercial Tobacco MDH/SOPHE’s SCRIPT Training

The Minnesota Department of Health and American Lung Association – Minnesota have contracted with the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) to conduct these workshops.
SOPHE’s SCRIPT® – Smoking Cessation and Reduction in Pregnancy Treatment – Program is an award-winning, evidence-based program shown to be effective in helping thousands of pregnant people quit smoking. SOPHE’s evidence-based SCRIPT® Counselor Training will enable you to integrate the SCRIPT® program into your routine prenatal care screening process.
Upon completion of this half-day training, you will be able to:
Demonstrate the latest motivational interviewing techniques with pregnant women
Describe at least two strategies for baseline and follow-up smoking assessment in pregnant smokers
Integrate the SCRIPT program principles in your prenatal setting
